A weekly invitation to slow down & find balance.
Letter writing is the perfect antidote to our generation's dependence on technology. It allows you to slip back into a time when the world felt less frantic and more spacious.
By signing up to the project, you'll take a simple pledge: to set aside a pocket of time each Sunday to write, to ponder, to savour. To bring back a practice that has connected humans for generations and is quietly being lost.
Choose your ink, add stickers or photographs, pick an envelope. Feel how handwriting holds emotion within its lines, freezing a moment that can never be revisited. Notice the joy of finding an envelope on your doormat, knowing someone set aside their time, thought, and energy just for you.
A letter is the opposite of how we usually communicate now. In a world of instant messages, many of us are ready to slow down. Ready for thoughtful, meaningful correspondence once again.
Through our Letter-Keeper Network, you can now write to others taking part in the project—without ever sharing your personal address. Each participating shop acts a bit like a P.O. Box, holding letters safely until their recipient collects them. You might send a note to someone in the next town or across the world. You might receive a reply that travels thousands of miles to reach you. However far it goes, the connection begins the same way. A new Sunday ritual, a sheet of paper, a moment of stillness.
If this sounds like something you need in your life, then please accept our invitation, and begin to write your way home.
